The Most Detailed Picture of Your Sleep.

This is an overnight, comprehensive sleep study conducted at our state-of-the-art Level-1 Sleep Laboratory under the direct supervision of a trained sleep technologist. It is the most accurate test available, monitoring a full range of physiological signals throughout the night.

Key Features & What is Measured:

1. Brain Activity (EEG): Precisely determines sleep stages (Light, Deep, REM).
2. Eye Movements (EOG): Identifies REM sleep.
3. Muscle Activity (EMG): Detects muscle tension and movements (e.g., for REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder).
4. Heart Rhythm (EKG): Monitors for arrhythmias during sleep.
5. Breathing & Effort: Measures airflow, breathing patterns, and chest/abdominal effort to classify apneas and hypopneas.
6. Oxygen Saturation (SpO2): Tracks oxygen levels in the blood.
7. Limb Movements (Leg EMG): Diagnoses Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD).
8. Audio/Video Recording: Correlates sounds (snoring, gasping) and behaviours (thrashing) with sleep events.

Ideal Patient Profile:
1. Patients with suspected complex sleep disorders (e.g., Narcolepsy, Parasomnias, Central Sleep Apnea).
2. Patients with significant comorbidities (Heart Failure, Neuromuscular Disease, Severe COPD).
3. Cases where previous HSAT was negative but clinical suspicion remains high.
4. Patients requiring a split-night study (diagnosis and CPAP titration in the same night).

Value Proposition for the Patient:

"Undergoing a Level-1 study ensures that no aspect of your sleep is overlooked. It is the definitive test for a complex or unclear diagnosis, providing Dr. Suri with the complete data needed to create the most effective treatment plan."
